DAVID LEONARD - MANAGING DIRECTOR
Before starting SF Trading Ltd (now SAFA Biological Sea Plants) in 2002 David had an extensive career in small to medium size businesses in senior management including roles in marketing, management and export.

David has also enjoyed an extensive sporting career having played first class cricket for Central Districts for 4 years. He also holds the record for the most appearances for the Nelson senior representative cricket team. David is currently a Nelson Cricket Association board member, a senior representative cricket selector as well as coach of a senior club side Wanderers who, when his shoulder permits, he also turns out for. He is also coach of the Nelson primary cricket representative team.

As well as his cricket exploits David has also represented Nelson province in Golf at both senior and junior levels and rugby at Nelson representative level.

David is a competitive, passionate person and through his sporting and business experience understands team dynamics, people, the value of hard work and the need to continually improve.

STEVE CLARK - ADMINISTRATION MANAGER

Steve has over 23 years experience in a wide range of managerial and administrative positions. Following a successful career in the UK, Steve migrated to New Zealand to seek new challenges, and fresh air. Steve joined SAFA Biological Seaplants in September 2008.

Steve is married to Kerry and has 2 children. He enjoys most sports but in particular Football; he is the Head of Youth Development at Richmond Athletic AFC, and Rugby. He is also a keen, but poor, golfer and he enjoys getting fishing lessons from his son. Steve also enjoys researching military history, tramping and spending quality time with his family.
